Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and supportive leader to manage our Paedaitric Critical Care Unit. PCCU is the only standalone Level 2 commissioned unit in the region which delivers excellent care to children and their families.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about children and Young People receiving safe, high quality, evidence based care and using direct clinical leadership to ensure this care can be delivered.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will hold 24 hour responsibility for the department team with support from the Clinical Matron and Associate Director of Nursing. They will ensure that they lead and manage the department so that safe, high quality, evidence based nursing care is delivered to patients whilst respecting and involving families and carers as partners in care.
The post holder will promote the positive image of the clinical area and the Trust by being a role model, having a clear vision and using direct clinical leadership to ensure an excellent patient experience and a department that promotes both clinical and operational excellence.
The post holder in conjunction with the senior management team will manage the budget for the department to ensure the best use of resources.
