The post holder will work within an established team and contribute to the development and maintenance of quality assured placements for pre-registration nursing students, and other learners within the South Tees area.The post holder will spend the majority of their time working closely with learners and the practice assessors across all areas of clinical practice, supporting students to achieve their learning outcomes in practice.They will support the Senior Practice Placement Facilitator in ensuring the quality of existing placements by offering support and guidance to assessors or equivalent.They will participate in the collaborative working arrangements that exist with Higher Education Institutions and NHSE in ensuring placement areas meet the needs of the pre-registration nursing curriculum.They will contribute to maintaining and facilitating a dynamic high quality learning experience for students which meet NMC Nursing standards (2019).
Main duties of the job
The post holder will demonstrate a commitment towards the development of professional and clinical practice at every level of the organisation, embracing the key performance areas of the Nursing & Midwifery Strategy and Patient Safety Strategy.
They will contribute to driving the Trust quality and safety priorities through education and role modelling.
The post holder will ensure that they follow the Trust's policy on records management and complies with the NHS Code of Practice for Records Management.
Maintain professional body registration, constantly evaluating own knowledge and practice through the utilisation and appraisal of a wide variety of evidence.
Develop and maintain effective communication networks including within complex situations, with service users, health care professionals and other statutory and voluntary organisations.
