Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Academic Cardiovascular Unit (ACU) .
The post holder will be responsible for supporting our service for research studies developed and/or managed within the ACU.
The purpose of the role is to support the ACU team to develop, implement and monitor an agreed programme of clinical research, including relevant action planning and supporting evidence.Working with other ACU team members, the role will provide a comprehensive research management service to researchers within the Trust.
The ACU Research Coordinator will be based at the James Cook University Hospital and will fulfil all tasks and work as part of a team. To meet the needs of the service, the post holder may be required to work in other areas as appropriate as directed by the line manager.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced, collaborative individual who is committed to make a difference to patient care through research. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal with a proactive can do attitude and a commitment to high-quality research practices. The following knowledge and experience is required:-
- Educated to degree level or substantial experience working in a research (support) post.
- Proficient in the use of data software, e.g. electronic data capture systems, Excel, etc
- Skilled in the effective communication of data using a variety of methods (verbally/writing/presentations) and assisting clinical staff with interpretation of data and monitoring results.
- Experience of working with minimal supervision.
