An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and highly motivated senior nurse leader with an interest in quality improvement, collaborative working, and transformation to join the patient flow collaborative. The post holder will work in collaboration with the Head of Nursing and collaborative Senior Leadership Team to support the delivery of the specialised services, supporting patient experience, staff, and the organisations values.
Working closely with our front line clinical teams, General Manager and Clinical Director in a triumvirate approach. Furthermore, integral working relations with the Collaborative Chair, Associate Chief Operating Officer and Head of Nursing for the collaborative.
Main duties of the job
As a senior leader you will provide effective, visible, and accessible leadership and management across the wards and departments promoting excellence in patient care and clinical practice. You will lead the senior nursing team and support them to lead and develop their own teams with oversight of resource management, including budget responsibility. As a role model, you will lead by example, motivating, empowering, and inspiring your team to ensure consistently high standards of care, safety, quality, and governance are delivered and maintained. Ensuring appropriate systems and processes are in place to always ensure the continuity of safe and effective care.
This role is based at the James Cook Hospital site and includes cross site working at The Friarage Hospital, Northallerton and Redcar primary Care Hospital

About us
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the leadership development programme, and the Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. This programme aims to:

- Develop your Leadership effectiveness and skills
- Practitioner level in quality improvement, equipping you with the skills to champion, lead and complete quality improvement within your role
After you complete this four and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses dependent upon your role and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
