Job summary

We are looking to recruit a full time Nursery Assistant to our team.

Are you enthusiastic and not afraid to get dirty and able to get down to a child's level and encourage them to get their best from being at Nursery.

The job does have some challenges but you will be working as part of a team to deliver care and education to the children.

Main duties of the job

Caring for children aged from 0-5 years being responsible for their care needs and their developmental needs.

Leadership and Improvement Training

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff. Qualifications

Essential

  • NNEB/BTEC/NVQ 3 in Early Years and Education or other relevant childcare qualification
  • GCSE English grade C or equivalent in English

Desirable

  • 12 hour Paediatric first aid qualification

Knowledge

Essential

  • Demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of the Requirements of the Childcare Act 2009
  • Knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities and processes
  • Knowledge of Ofsted standards & regulations
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage

Desirable

  • Experience of working with Early Years Foundation stage
  • Relevant experience within a childcare setting
