South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Digital Systems Analyst to support its digital transformation plan including the implementation of a new market leading Digital Health Record (Alcidion - Miya Precision) and Electronic Prescribing and Medicine Administration system (Better Meds).

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day technical support of the trusts systems including maintenance, system upgrades and supporting business intelligence.

This is an exciting role for someone who is technically minded, passionate about digital transformation, and who has a drive to help South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust improve its digital maturity .

Main duties of the job

  • Ability to analyse and interpret simple and highly complex IT/system and data issues, be able to communicate highly complex IT and system matters to all levels of staff.
  • Plan and schedule work in order to deliver tasks required within the project plan to timescale.
  • Management of systems users.
  • Investigate problems/issues/bugs reported against systems, logging calls with the supplier as necessary and liaising with the supplier in order to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Develop performance activity statistical reports and provide information to the Collaborative leads and other agencies/departments as required.
  • Respond to ad hoc queries relating to information requirements from the data sources
  • Responsible for co-ordinating system upgrades and the testing prior to implementation, ensuring that all change control procedures are adhered to.
  • Planning of system installation and upgrades which may impact users across the Trust.
  • Assist Digital training and Business Change teams as required
  • The post holder must be able to provide support for evolving integrated healthcare delivery systems, technical innovations and increasingly complex regulatory environments and will establish and maintain communication networks at all levels.
  • Provide out-of-hours on-call service for support of the systems (on rota basis).
  • Carry out other duties as may be required by the Business Change Lead/ Programme Manager.
