Job summary

37.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy and friendly Cardio- thoracic Outpatient Department. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our supportive team and continue to drive the service forward in a friendly rewarding environment

You will need a mix of skills including the ability to develop effective working relationships and effective time management.

Main duties of the job

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a genuine desire to work in this speciality and be committed to delivering high quality patient centred care.

The role involves chaperoning medical staff during consultations, collecting and preparing case notes, undertaking healthmeasurements (weight, height, BP, ECG), collecting specimens, performing and assisting with venepuncture, monitoring stock levels, preparation and maintenance of clinic rooms and areas.

The post holder will require an excellent standard of communication, professionalism and provide a high level of customer service.
