Job summary

Playdays Day Nursery is based on site at James Cook University Hospital and is registered by OFSTED the Early Years directorate to cater for 86 children a day.

The nursery is open from 6.45am until 6.00pm Monday to Friday for 52 weeks throughout the year; excluding weekends and Bank Holidays.

We are currently seeking to employ a Supply Nursery Assistant who will be key in providing high quality Care and Education for our children who are aged between 6 weeks and 5 years.

You would be required to work as and when hours are required.

Main duties of the job

You'll be someone who works well under pressure; is a great team player as well as being motivated to work independently when needed. You'll be someone who truly understands the need for care and education; applicants will be required to demonstrate their willingness and ability to be flexible and embrace change in delivering high quality care and education.

Essential

  • NNEB /BTEC/NVQ 3 in Early Years Care and Education or equivalent
  • GCSE English grade C or equivalent in English

Knowledge & Skills

Essential

  • Good understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage

Desirable

  • Relevant experience within a childcare setting
