This is a 6 month secondment
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced and dynamic nurse to join the senior nursing team on Ward 5 under a 3 month secondment role as a Clinical Sister/Charge Nurse. Ward 5 is a General Surgical ward for elective short stay patients but also takes a range of surgical patients including critical care step downs. The right person must have a passion and drive to provide high quality patient centred care. You will have worked previously as a band 5 and have experience in surgical nursing and have organisational and leadership skills.
Main duties of the job
You will have excellent communication skills, be able to work under pressure and maintain professionalism at all times. A teaching qualification, or working towards one is a desirable specification for the role of clinical sister. You will be expected to support the ward manager with managing the team with ward KPIs and Model ward metrics and also deputise for the ward manger in their absence.

After you complete this four and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses dependent upon your role and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
