The post will be based at The James Cook University Hospital.
This is a post in Haematology which will involve both in-patient and out-patient based duties including supporting the ward, day unit, clinics and procedure lists for bone marrow biopsies, intrathecal chemotherapy and Hickman line removal. Liaison with other specialities in the hospital will be as required supporting the consultants with hospital referrals. The post holder will also gain experience in laboratory haematology.
Main duties of the job
Experience in general medicine is essential. Experience in Haematology is desirable, but not essential, as all the training necessary to fulfil this post will be provided.
