Job summary

The post holder will be part of the pharmacy procurement team, undertaking the procurement of drugs, fluids, pharmaceuticals and other consumable items required by the pharmacy team. They must operate in accordance with relevant professional, ethical, legal and locally agreed policies, procedures, guidelines and standards. The post will be based at The James Cook University Hospital

Main duties of the job

Participates and supports in the delivery of pharmaceutical services by the Pharmacy Procurement & Stores service. The post holder will provide support to the Senior Procurement Officer and the Senior Pharmacy Technician for Pharmacy Stores, Procurement & Logistics for the implementation of an integrated procurement, stores and distribution service. The post holder will be involved in whole procurement process ordering, goods receipt and invoicing.
