The post holder will have a Help Desk/Administration background and will be responsible for the provision of administration and clerical support for the Trust's Medical Engineering Department.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under pressure at times. You must have the ability to multi task, manage and priorities your own workload and be able to work on both your own initiative and as part of a team.
Applicants will require a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Internet and Email and good keyboard skills.
Excellent IT skills are required to maintain the department's asset management database for maintenance records of work performed. Ensuring that the database is updated in an accurate, methodical manner with work being logged as it progresses until completion. Main duties of the job
Operate the Medical Engineering departments helpdesk, ensuring all new support jobs entering the departmental computer equipment maintenance database or forwarded to the technical team to ensure that the calls are dealt with efficiently to the customers satisfaction, job reports may be either via telephone, email or clinical staff walk in's.
Raising purchase order requests for spare parts and consumables. Receipting those goods on delivery and maintaining stock levels.
Provide a full administrative support service to the medical engineering team, ensuring an efficient administration office, undertaking general office duties and ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of the department.
Act as a point of contact to third party service providers and company representatives for equipment related issues.
