Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Capital Projects at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal, strategic, financial, technical and organisational skills, to work with the team to drive forward the capital agenda in South Tees.

As Head of Capital Projects, you will work closely with the Deputy Director of Estates, Capital and Programmes and the wider Estates team. You will assist in the development of, lead, and be responsible for, the delivery of the Trust Capital Programme. Delivering an 'outstanding' healthcare environment for patients and staff.

As part of the Estates and Facilities Senior Team, and an organisation striving for excellence - you will work to ensure the Capital Programme is clinically led, patient focused, and strategically aligned to the aims and values of the organisation. Incorporating and embedding best practice and technology at every opportunity.

You will be experienced in strategic visioning, capital development, and financial control, bringing best in class expertise working at a senior level in healthcare, wider public, private or third-party sectors.

You will be comfortable working in a multi-stakeholder environment and bring a collaborative approach to enable you to deliver in partnership with colleagues and stakeholders.

Main duties of the job

To manage, deliver and be accountable for, the provision of a high-quality cost-effective Capital Project Management Service across the Trust ensuring high-level outcomes by the application of technical and managerial expertise

Prepare, monitor and be accountable for the delivery of all capital projects on time, budget and to the desired quality.

Co-ordinate projects in accordance with the overall aims and ethos of the Trust

Relate projects to the policies and actions outlined in the Trusts Business Plan thereby ensuring the efficient and economical use of the Trusts annual capital expenditure and alignment with the Trusts financial guidance and frameworks

The role holder will ensure compliance with all legislative, statutory and NHS guidance frameworks in all their undertakings.
