An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Imaging service at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for a Band 6 Radiographer to work within the CT service. The imaging department provides services at The James Cook University Hospital - a major trauma site, The Friarage Hospital, and 5 community sites. The Computed Tomography service is expanding with a second CT scanner (cardiac enabled) being installed at the Friarage site and a CT scanner being installed at Redcar Primary Care Hospital to add to our current fleet of 4 CT scanners.
These posts are part of the collaborative initiative of the Community Diagnostic Hub program. Although the successful candidate will be employed by STHFT, there may be an expectation of collaborative working across the Tees Valley in the future should the need be required, however this role is primarily for STHFT CT services, and the successful candidate will join the CT rota for STHFT. Successful candidates will be an employee of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and managed as per the governance arrangements currently in place for Radiology and the organisation.
Main duties of the job
The Radiology service is dedicated in facilitating continuous professional development and role extension/advanced practice. There are more than 30 Advanced Practitioners within the service, with specialist experience in fluoroscopy/interventional radiology, mammography, ultrasound, CT, MRI and plain film radiographer reporting.
