Job summary

Hours: 37.5 hours Full time plus additional weekend & bank Holiday working on a rota basis

Due to promotion an opportunity has arisen to recruit a post of Pharmacy Assistant in Aseptic Services to join the team comprising of pharmacists, technicians, SATO's, ATO's and assistants delivering a comprehensive pharmaceutical aseptic service to the patients of South Tees Hospital NHS Foundation trust.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated person with good interpersonal & organisational skills who would enjoy being part of a friendly dynamic team.

The post holder will participate in the pre-packing and assembly of medications, the cleaning of the aseptic units in the Production Unit at The James Cook University Hospital. They will work under the supervision of Technicians, SATO's & ATO's. Working under the leadership of the senior technicians you will be expected to follow strict operating procedures required for the working in cleanrooms for the products intended for the patients of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Applicants ideally will have experience of aseptic/clean room environments, be able to work methodically and have meticulous attention to detail. You must be willing to meet the strict personal requirements for clean room working.

In house training and accreditation will be provided to achieve the required level of competency.
