The postholder will support the Cancer Information and Systems Team to provide a responsive information provision service to both internal and external customers, contributing to the achievement of corporate, departmental and national mandated objectives
Responsibilities include the collation, processing, validation, interpretation, submission and reporting information in accordance with service level agreements and other local, statutory and national requirements, investigating and resolving customer queries/issues and supporting the maintenance of effective data processing and reporting solutions.
Main duties of the job
The Cancer Information Officer will play a vital role in the Trust by collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to support the development of best practice timed pathways and other national key performance indicators.
The postholder will work closely with Collaboratives and other Trust information functions to maintain effective data collection and reporting mechanisms which support the requirements of the trust and external organisations.
The postholder will develop and maintain relationships with external organisations including other local NHS trusts, Northern Cancer Alliance and NHS Digital.
