Romanby ward at the Friarage Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic registered nurse to join their team.
Romanby Ward is a 22 bedded medical ward at the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton, North Yorkshire.
Friarage Hospital is one of the smallest district general hospitals in the country and forms an essential part of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, serving a rural population of 135,000 people.The Friarage Hospital is within easy reach of Teesside from the North via the A19 or York is 50 minutes south. There's also great train links to Northallerton centre, which is a lovely traditional market town. Car Parking facilities at the Friarage are also very good.

MRI Scanner
Dialysis unit
Eye unit
Rapid diagnostic centre
The Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre
Construction of a new £5million diagnostic hub is now underway and our new and innovative education centre has recently opened. We will shortly be welcoming a new clinical educator and have a newly strengthened leadership team with an operational manager, head of nursing and a clinical matron on site.

Skills and Experience;
- NMC registered nurse
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in sensitive and challenging situations
- If you are a newly qualified nurse you will benefit from our highly regarded preceptorship programme

About us
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the leadership development programme, and the Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. This programme aims to:
- Explore leadership within the NHS
- Promote Trust Values and Behaviours
- Develop your Leadership effectiveness and skills
- Practitioner level in quality improvement, equipping you with the skills to champion, lead and complete quality improvement within your role
After you complete this four and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses dependent upon your role and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
