An exciting opportunity has arisen within GastroenterologyService for a Resource Coordinator to join theteam at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

With a brand new Endoscopy Unit opening at our Friarage site and refurbishment taking place at our James Cook Site, now is an exciting time to become part of our growing team playing an integral role in supporting the growth and development of the service.

Based at The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough you will play a pivotal role in coordinating our administration and clinical teams to ensure we make effective use of our Endoscopy lists and outpatient clinics.

The successful applicant will have a direct impact on the services ability to provide patient care to the highest possible level and help to ensure that the directorate strives to exceed performance standards.

Main duties of the job

The role will involve the allocation of Consultant staff to clinical sessions as well as allocation of support staff where appropriate to sessions to ensure service continuity.

This will involve coordination with Registrars, Nurse Endoscopists and specialist nursing teams (PEG, IBD, Liver Service), working alongside individuals to ensure that capacity is flexed according to demands placed on the service.
