This is a rare opportunity for a Band 6 Mental Health Nurse to come and join our multi-disciplinary team. We have a part-time fixed term contract / secondment opportunity available. If wishing to join us on a secondment, please discuss with your current Line Manager first.

The Later Life Team provides mental health care for older adults who have a severe mental health condition within the beautiful Tewkesbury, Cheltenham and North Cotswolds area.

We are seeking a motivated and caring individual to join our well established and progressive multi-disciplinary team. We can offer an opportunity to develop your skills and experience and to contribute to the development of a high-quality service alongside the mental health transformation of services.

The team provides a planned needs lead 9am-5pm service. 'Flexible' working arrangements will be considered. Any request will be set against genuine operational requirements and limitations and it is not obligatory for a manager to accede to the request.

Main duties of the job

This is an exciting opportunity for a community mental health nurse who has some experience of working with older adults and caring for individuals with Enduring Mental Health problems. The post will include care coordinating a designated caseload, working within CPA Policy and associated countywide risk procedures, travelling independently, use of IT skills and a working knowledge of legislation regarding safeguarding vulnerable adults, the MHA and MCA.

This is part-time post comprising of 22.5 hours per week to cover maternity leave.
