Job summary

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Highly Specialist Clinician to join the Gloucestershire Eating Disorders Service.

The Eating Disorders Service at The Brownhill Centre, Cheltenham is seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Highly Specialist Eating Disorders Clinician to assist in the leadership of the community Team.

The Eating Disorders service is highly regarded and provides specialist assessment, treatment and support for individuals who are experiencing an eating disorder and their families within Gloucestershire. There is a strong focus on specialist therapies in the service and excellent clinical leadership and supervision within the team.

Main duties of the job

To provide specialist clinical knowledge and expertise for the eating disorders team

To contribute toward the development and clinical practise of this highly specialist team.

To work with the operational lead, lead psychologist, psychiatrists and service manager to employ, train, develop and support service staff.

To provide consultation on Eating Disorders inside and outside of the organisation.

The team also provides consultation, supervision and joint assessment, working with the Child and Adolescent and Adult Mental Health Services across Gloucestershire. The team promotes an awareness of eating disorders and appropriate interventions to the wider public. The Highly Specialist Clinician will be jointly responsible with the Operational Lead, Lead Psychologist and Psychiatrists for the development of the community team.

The post holder will be required to provide highly specialistassessment and intervention (individual and group), in accordance with the evidencebase; to provide clinical supervision for team members; to provide consultation tocolleagues in the Trust; to undertake research, and to participate in personal CPDand the provision of training to the eating disorders team and to the wider service.

The post holder will be professionally accountable for their work and will work withinthe ethical code of practice of the relevant professional body.   • Professional qualification in a health discipline e.g. Clinical Psychology, MHSW, Psychiatry, OT, Mental Health Nursing

Experience
