1x fixed term contract for up to 12 months
Utilising a high-quality approach, as part of the National Vaccination Programme and Making Every Contact Count (MECC) agenda, to support delivery of the Vaccination Programmes to qualifying individuals (following Government guidelines) and achieve the best health and wellbeing outcomes for them. These individuals can be from a variety ofage groups and are often unable to attend mainstream vaccination sites without support.
To work flexibly with individuals and according to the needs of an evolving service, responding to requests for support to other teams across the organisation and to deliver Vaccination Programmes when required.

Main duties of the job
To work within the Outreach Vaccination and Health Team (OVHT) and assist in delivering countywide Vaccination Programmes in a variety of settings (e.g. community, inpatient, schools) to help increase local uptake of vaccinations.
The Team is expanding and works closely with a wide variety of teams, Public Health Nurses, Community Services and Stakeholders across the County. To support increasing local uptake of immunisations delivered by the by the team to meet national, regional and local targets.

Liaise and work collaboratively with inpatient/Community staff in relation to complex vaccination queries. Liaise collaboratively with a variety of voluntary and public sector organisations Countywide to ensure individuals with complex health needs receive their vaccinations
We provide a Multi-professional preceptorship programme that is aligned to the National Preceptorship Framework for Nursing and have been awarded the Interim quality mark from NHS England. Our programme is provided to all Newly Qualified; Nurses, Nursing Associates, Internationally Educated Practitioners, Allied Health Professionals and Return to Practice Practitioners. In addition to the programme we also offer all preceptees the opportunity of enrolling and completing the level 7 (Masters) 15 credit validated module Preceptorship for Healthcare (AP7026).
Newly qualified Social Workers are offered the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment programme (ASYE) which is similar to a preceptorship programme.
