Job summary

We are looking for exceptional individuals who are dedicated to working with children and young people and are keen to take up this opportunity to join us for a fixed-term 1 year post, including fully funded training in Systemic Family Practice (SFT) at the University of Exeter.

The course starts January 2025 and will last 1 year.

This intensive training post will equip the post holder to provide interventions based on CYP-IAPT core principles and also evidence based interventions within the fields of SFT. The course is accredited by AFT, in order to meet accreditation level you will complete 60 hours of lead systemic practice over the course of the year.

As these are post-graduate courses you will need to evidence your ability to study at post graduate level. Please also note, as this is an HEE funded course, those applying who have completed previous relevant HEE funded training courses (e.g. EMHPs) must be 2 years post completion.

The course is assessed via both clinical and academic work.

The successful applicant will:

Hold a relevant Professional Registration in a core profession recognised by AFT

Main duties of the job

  • Working systemically with children and young people and their families experiencing mental health difficulties such as depression and self harm in specialist CAMHS.
  • Provide specialist CAMHS assessment and treatment interventions for children and young people as well as their families/ carer's
  • Provide specialist clinical assessment, formulation and treatment where the Voice of the Child is embedded within personalised care planning
  • Demonstrating a commitment to ensuring routine outcome measures are embedded within clinical practice to demonstrate clinical based improvements for children, young people and parents/carers.

  • Ensure regular attendance at service wide and other CAMHS CPD/core competency training events
