We are looking for exceptional individuals who are dedicated to working with children and young people and keen to take up this brilliant training opportunity. You will enrol in the CYP-IAPT 12 month post- graduate diploma in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy beginning January 2025. Under the recruit to train process we are in the position to offer 2 CBT trainee contracts (AfC Band 6), working in conjunction with Exeter University. While undertaking training you will attend teaching days at least twice a week (on line and in person) with the University. The remaining 3 days will be used for supervision, study and therapeutic clinical work.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide specialist CAMHS assessment and treatment interventions for children & young people (0-18yrs), presenting with emotional & mental health difficulties and those CYP with learning disabilities.
  • Undertake clinical responsibility for caseload, adhering to risk management & care planning processes in line with Care Programme Approach (CPA) liaising with Trust and Gloucestershire multi-agency partners.
  • Provide CAMHS specialist clinical risk assessments (inc Self Harm) & complex risk management plans as part of routine clinical work.
  • Provide clinical interventions within a multidisciplinary team where expected roles, responsibilities and activity/performance expectations are outlined within a job plan. Job plan will be reviewed quarterly, may be adjusted to meet team/service led requirements.
  • Ensure high quality, accurate & contemporaneous clinical record keeping is maintained in line with current Trust policies.
  • Provide CAMHS consultation, training & advice to professionals working within a range of children's services within Gloucestershire .
  • Provide clinical supervision to junior staff as required & CPD learning activities within the team.
  • Provide professional based clinical reasoning, knowledge, skills & competencies re; a range of CAMHS interventions.
  • Demonstrate working with colleagues to develop strong multidisciplinary ethos and focus to delivering high quality clinical services.
  • The "voice" of the child will be central to developing personalised care plans.
