We are looking for applicants who are suitably qualified and experienced to join us as a Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP), who upon successful completion of their course will graduate to a Qualified PWP role. You will work in our clinical service, whilst undertaking a taught Certificate in Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (LI-CBT) delivered by the University of Exeter. You will develop skills and knowledge that enable you to offer evidence based psychological interventions to people who experience common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression.

Main duties of the job
Your main responsibilities will include delivering low intensity psychological interventions to a caseload of patients experiencing common mental health problems. This involves facilitating psychoeducational courses, undertaking initial assessments, providing one to one treatment, as well as receiving caseload and clinical skills supervision. We predominantly deliver treatment over the telephone, with some psychoeducational courses and appointments being offered in person.
You will also work closely with GP's and staff in Primary Care settings to improve access and develop resources aimed at promoting mental health and emotional wellbeing. Alongside your in-service days you will attend taught days delivered by the University of Exeter; this will consist of part remote working and part in person attendance at a venue in Bristol (to be confirmed). You will be supported to meet the academic expectations and course requirements stipulated by the University of Exeter. Gloucestershire Talking Therapies is made up of 4 clinical teams situated across the county of Gloucestershire. We employ over 100 therapists and are passionate about improving access to psychological therapies. We pride ourselves on our clinical model that focuses on delivering high quality care that consistently exceeds the national recovery standard.Each clinical team includes a Clinical Lead, Team manager, Psychological Therapists, Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners. We also train significant numbers of trainee therapists.
