Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced professional to join our Strategy and Partnership Directorate. Working alongside other Service Development Manager's (SDM), each with a strategic lead area, the focus on this role is to support the development of integrated locality working. You will drive transformational change at a locality and neighbourhood level with our partners and organisational colleagues, support the delivery of the Trust's wider strategy, and support change activities that improve the care and health for the people of Gloucestershire.

The role has a strategic priority specific focus, to lead and support the delivery of two of the Trust's Strategic Objectives - Better Care and Sustainability. Integrating localised services, tackling health inequality, and reducing the NHS's carbon footprint are some of the biggest challenges facing NHS Trusts in the UK. This role will provide key strategic support to ensure the Trust has robust plans in place and is delivering identified priorities and objectives.

Main duties of the job

As an SDM, you will play a vital role in developing the integrated locality partnership agenda, working on key priorities for both the Trust and key stakeholders to help shape and deliver on transformational change priorities across designated localities. This role currently supports the Stroud and Berkley Vale and the Cotswolds localities. You will act as the GHC key point of contact to the internal and external stakeholders, including wider health and care system, working with Integrated Care System (ICS) leads.

In this role you will provide specific professional leadership, support, advice, and facilitation of service development on the Trust's Better Care and Sustainability strategic agenda across all GHC provision through the application of a range of service development, change management, and improvement methodologies. You will have, or be able to develop, an in-depth knowledge of health inequality and personalised care agendas, placed-based integrated care, sustainability agenda and green plan, and clinical/professional best practice and use this knowledge and experience to facilitate transformation and change plans.

Relationship management, system convening, and networking are key components of the work for this role. You will develop positive relationships with professionals, system partners and with people who use services, carers and families encouraging co-production at all levels.
