Our Community Hospital is in the beautiful Market Town of Stroud in a semi-rural position in the Cotswolds. It has the bonus of good access to the M5 motorway and is also serviced by excellent train links to London, Bristol and the West country.
We are looking for a dynamic practitioner with endoscopy experience to lead our small endoscopy unit in Stroud General Hospital.
Applicants must be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must be able to demonstrate strong leadership in order to support and motivate your team in providing a high quality service.

Main duties of the job
Support the Endoscopy Service Lead in monitoring the standards and quality of care, promoting the use of audit and working with them to identify and remedy any actions
Demonstrate ability to utilise the skill mix within the department, creating electronic rotas and work plans
Regularly take charge of the ward
Demonstrate appraisal skills and participate in performance review for staff
Actively contribute to the development and updating of endoscopy procedures, protocols and policies
To ensure that the caring culture expected of colleagues and values of the Trust is consistently maintained and upheld
Ensure all care is provided in accordance with GHC NHS Foundation Trust Policies
Communicate with Endoscopists, monitor lists and liaising with the booking office
Supervise more junior members of staff in giving and maintaining high standards of care
Demonstrate leadership in progressing the patient pathway
To be able to work within the decontamination unit to standards set out in the BSG guidelines & decontamination standards for flexible endoscopes.
To demonstrate a knowledge of JAG and support their clinical colleagues to enable the endoscopy department to maintain JAG accreditation.
The team is dedicated in providing the best possible care to our patients and we are continuing to strive for JAG accreditation.
