Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS FT Child and Adolescent mental health service (CAMHS) has been awarded a large investment to increase the offer we can deliver to the children and young people within Gloucestershire.

We are looking for;

  • An enthusiastic and committed mental health clinician to join our community based, multi-disciplinary team.
  • The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of the mental health difficulties experienced by children and young people, and understand the therapies and other interventions used in treatment.
  • The post holder will be a professional health or social care qualification, RNLD, RMHN, RNCB OT, MHSW.
  • Be able to demonstrate a current registration with a regulated professional body/ organisation: NMC, HCPC, BPS, ACP

Main duties of the job

  • Protected training time - working in CAMHS is a specialist and demanding area. We know you will need to develop skills and abilities as part of your professional development which is why we have a weekly teaching session, weekly reflective practice and access to training opportunities such as positive behaviour support (PBS), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT).
  • Protected Supervision - We ensure that all our staff have clinical supervision for a minimum of 1 hour protected time every month
  • You will be allocated a mentor, a staff member a band 6 and above and also a buddy who is a band 5.
  • All clinicians are supported with monthly case management and have a clear job plan which is regularly reviewed.
  • We have regular team meetings, working within a multi-disciplinary approach.
  • We encourage all our team to join the current transformation projects and service improvement working groups.
