An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and committed Band 5 Speech & Language Therapist to join our established specialist service based across Gloucestershire. This will involve working in our community learning disability and memory assessment teams.

We welcome applications from HCPC registered Speech & Language Therapists with a passion for supporting adults with learning disabilities. You will have exceptional professional interpersonal skills, enjoy working in a community environment and ideally have experience of working with people with a learning disability and or older adults with mental health difficulties.
Main duties of the job
- To provide a specialist Speech and Language Therapy Service to adults with learning disabilities and/or older adults with mental health difficulties (or in a relevant setting) in order to meet their communication needs
- To provide specialist communication assessment and interventions to individuals or groups of service users
- To provide education, training, support and advice to colleagues and carers to enable them to provide the best possible care and quality of life for clients.
- To provide clinical supervision for less experienced Speech and Language Therapists and for Speech and Language Therapy Students
- To carry out delegated tasks in policy development
