An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Theatre Practitioner (Anaesthetics) within Tewkesbury Hospital Theatre and Day Surgery Unit.

Tewkesbury theatre is a self-contained, one-theatre day surgery unit, within Tewkesbury Hospital, located close to the town centre and within 5 minutes of the M5. We are a small friendly team who are passionate about both patient care and work-life balance and endeavour to meet the needs of our patients and staff.

Main duties of the job
- The day surgery theatre department at Tewkesbury Community Hospital cares for patients undergoing surgery from ophthalmic, orthopaedic, podiatric and ENT procedures.
- The role of a Theatre Practitioner is to provide safe, individualised, high quality patient care within a community setting, ensuring that the patients' journey is a positive experience for the patient and relatives or carer.
- The post holder will be driven to ensure the standards of care delivered are effective, current and evidenced-based and enjoy working within a small, friendly team putting the patient at the heart of everything that you do.
- The post holder will participate in supporting students and junior staff and continue their own personal and professional development.

Newly qualified Social Workers are offered the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment programme (ASYE) which is similar to a preceptorship programme.
