We are looking for Clinical Psychologist to join our Core Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) teams.
The Core CAMHS support the front door, getting help, getting further help and risk support aspects of thrive model.
We pride ourselves on working within a strong multi-disciplinary team. We welcome newly qualified Psychologist as well as those with previous experience who are passionate and motivated to work with young people and families.
In all cases, you must be able to demonstrate the clinical, consultation and communication skills needed to offer an outstanding service.
CAMHS continue to deliver high quality specialist mental health services to children and young people up to their 18th birthday.
We are a supportive, experienced and progressive multi-disciplinary team. You will have the opportunity to assess children, young people and families, create formulations and ensuring they receive evidence based and effective interventions.
We offer individual, family and group interventions which may be time limited or longer-term therapies according to need.
The successful candidates will have the necessary clinical skills and knowledge to complete clinical assessments including sound clinical formulations and clinical risk assessments. You will be expected to demonstrate experience in providing evidence based mental health treatment interventions.
Main duties of the job
Providing Psychological support to the team
Provide a range of specialist CAMHS assessment and treatment interventions for children and young people as well as their families/ carer's who present with emotional and mental health difficulties
Providing Care Coordinator responsibilities for a caseload of children and young people presenting with complex and high-risk mental health issues. There will be a specific focus upon providing specialist clinical assessment, formulation and treatment, including Self Harm assessments where the Voice of the Child is embedded within personalised care planning
Be willing to offer high quality clinical supervision to CAMHS staff
Ability to lead projects or other clinical based initiatives as part of delivering innovative and high-quality services to children and young people.
Demonstrating a commitment to ensuring routine outcome measures are embedded within clinical practice to demonstrate clinical based improvements for children, young people and parents/carers.

- Professional Health or Social Care qualification: RNLD, RMHN, OT, MHSW
- For Clinical Psychology: Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
- For Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy: Completion of training and registration with the Association of Child Psychotherapists
- Demonstrate current registration with a regulated professional body/ organisation: NMC, HCPC, BPS, ACP
- Evidence of formal post graduate learning within a relevant CAMHS field or skill
Desirable
- Profession specific additional qualifications (i.e LD, nurse prescriber, DBT, CBT, AMHP, family therapy or systemic practice)
