Job summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust are pleased to offer to a suitably qualified mental health professional a substantive contract appointment with GHCNHSFT Mental Health Liaison Team.

You will become part of an established and well-respected team, providing mental health assessment and care within Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, working alongside other specialist practitioners and supported by the Consultants for Liaison Psychiatry.

The Mental Health Liaison Team consists of 4 sub teams, Working Age Adult 16 & 17, 18 - 65, Older People 65+, Alcohol Liaison 18+ and Children and Young People 11 - 15yrs; Community Hospitals MH Liaison, Liaison Psychiatry Consultants, and a Lead Nurse.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, team player with a natural empathy for people who experience mental health problems to join our friendly, professional and busy Mental Health Liaison Team.

NB: The successful applicant may be required to work outside of these hours depending on need.

The Trust aims to recruit and retain the best possible staff who, through the application of their skills, qualification and experience, will make a positive contribution to our business of providing quality health care services. Main duties of the job

You will hold a registered mental health qualification and be able to demonstrate post registration experience at Band 5 or above. You will need to provide evidence of continual professional development.

The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills, good communication skills, be IT literate and work across a multitude of clinical systems, RIO, e-Roster, Trakcare, Sunrise. You will be responsible for handling highly confidential information.

There is an emphasis on continued professional development, as well as grant opportunities for qualifications and various apprenticeships; the Trust offers many opportunities to develop and progress.

About us

Trust/NHS benefits including parking permits, pensions, incremented salary banding, staff discounts and so much more!

We really are different; we are a mental health team based in the Acute Hospital which means we have to work hard at making mental healthcare a priority in a general healthcare setting.

It's challenging, it's exciting and we want like-minded people to join us. If you think that's you, you're able to work on your own initiative and would like the challenge of working in a very busy team, take a look at the job specification.
