Job summary
Gloucestershire CAMHS is growing thanks to additional investment and a process of service transformation. We are therefore seeking to recruit enthusiastic, skilled and supportive individuals to our teams. These posts will be flexible and offer training and development through the various clinical pathways. This could include work at the 'Front Door' or within our treatment teams.
We are a supportive, experienced and progressive multi-disciplinary team. You will have the opportunity to develop skills assessing children, young people and families and ensuring they receive evidence based and effective interventions. We offer individual, family and group interventions which may be time limited or longer-term therapies according to need.
If you are a Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or other registered mental health professional working within an adult setting, we would welcome your interest as you are likely to have excellent transferrable skills and competencies to join our child mental health workforce within Gloucestershire.
Main duties of the job
Key elements of the role:
- Screening referrals, triage and advice line, liaising with multiagency partners and skills at the initial assessment stage
- Provide a range of specialist CAMHS assessment and treatment interventions for children and young people as well as their families/carers who present with emotional and mental health difficulties
- Provide Care Coordinator responsibilities for a caseload of children and young people presenting with mental health issues.
- Undertake clinical risk assessments, mental state examinations, clinical formulations, and develop robust clinical risk management plans.
- Involvement in multi-agency discussions and liaison with other statutory and community services.
- Ensure the Voice of the Child is embedded within personalised care planning
