Bank Senior Doctor - General Paediatrics & Neonatology

Job summary
We seek to increase our bank pool of Senior Clinical Fellow covering general Paediatrics and Neonatology in our busy secondary care service. This post is required to cover gaps in the rota on a Bank only basis.
Main duties of the job
There are 5 clinical areas: the paediatric inpatient unit (Outwood ward), the Child Assessment Unit (CAU), the neonatal unit (NNU), postnatal ward (Burstow ward) and paediatric A&E.
We undertake separate rotas in general and neonatal paediatrics at Consultant, Middle grade and SHO level.
There is a consultant of the week present for Outwood ward, NNU and CAU. On Outwood ward, there is a long day registrar, long day SHO and short day SHO. On CAU, a short day registrar and SHO as well as 1 registrar and 2 SHO's on 1-10pm shift. On NNU, there is a long day SHO and registrar. Postnatal ward is covered by 2 short day SHO's and a registrar. On CAU there is also a Consultant on site until 10pm including weekends. Overnight there are 3 registrars and one SHO on each side (ED, Outwood and NNU).
