Job summary

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Trauma Lead Nurse (TLN) who will lead in the delivery of professional nursing care to patients ensuring the highest possible standards of care are received by patients and their carers while engaged with the Trauma service.

To act as an excellent clinical role model and team leader to all staff.

To develop and lead in the delivery of an area of specialist practice.

To ultimately act as an autonomous practitioner and an excellent role model and leader to all staff.

Facilitate the flow of trauma patients through admission to discharge.

To support the specialty Doctors within their care for traumatically injured patients.

As the Lead Nurse for Trauma you will provide clinical & managerial leadership which inspires, motivates and empowers nurses and other healthcare professionals.

The post holder will professionally lead innovative, improvement projects which support the trusts performance agenda and improve quality care & patient outcomes.

Working in partnership with the Clinical Lead for Trauma, senior nurses and departmental managers to develop and implement a clinical research and academic service, promoting multi-professional research, audit, education that delivers the objectives and strategy of the trust, trauma network and the NHS England recommendations.
