Senior Clinical Fellow in Urology
Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is looking for an enthusiastic surgical junior doctor to join the Urology team as a Senior Clinical Fellow.
The Clinical Fellow role is a key role within the wider Urology team. It serves as a vital development link between Trust Doctor level and junior Specialty Doctor level. This role will offer a surgically inclined candidate the opportunity to progress from a junior doctor to a specialty doctor in Urology in a supportive environment. The post holder will be expected to contribute and undertake activity at Trust Doctor level including resident on-calls and shared duties with General Surgery on a 1:15 basis (1A Banding - 50%). The post holder will also have regular supervised activities at specialty doctor level to further develop their skills and expertise within the Urological specialty including undertaking clinics and delivering procedures and emergency activity.
The post will help run and manage the elective, cancer, inpatient, and emergency workload within the Urology service and will form part team of other junior and specialty doctors working with the consultants, and specialist Urology nursing teams.
