Pharmacist
This job is now closed
Job summary
We are looking for pharmacists to continue - or to start - their career as clinical hospital pharmacists. The post would suit both recently qualified pharmacists with a community or hospital background, or more experienced community pharmacists.
Our team is made up of more than 100 staff including 40 pharmacists. If you are successful in your application, you will rotate through a different clinical specialty every three months. These include acute, cardiology, endocrine, elderly, surgery, respiratory, paediatrics, cancer and MI. The speciality mini-team, led by a Band 7 pharmacist, is comprised of Band 6 pharmacists and MMTs. Additionally, lead pharmacists will support you through the bespoke rotation workbook and specific objectives.
We are a friendly and progressive department with a strong emphasis on training and development including for those moving from primary to secondary care. We support our pharmacists to undertake the clinical diploma, and have found that the majority of our band 6 pharmacists have progressed to more senior pharmacist roles within the Trust.
For more information take a look at our Pharmacy Recruitment page on the Trust Website https://www.surreyandsussex.nhs.uk/work-us/pharmacy-recruitment and click on the Hear from our Staff. This includes an interview with one of our current rotational pharmacists.
Whilst preference will be given to registered pharmacists, consideration will be given to those due to qualify in the summer of 2024.
