Job summary
Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic trust Doctor ST3+ within Gastroenterology. The applicant will join the current team of seven Consultant Gastroenterologists, two Gastroenterology Specialty Doctors, two Nurse Endoscopists, six Upper GI Surgeons and seven Colorectal Surgeons, 3.5 IBD Clinical Nurse Specialists and an Upper GI Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist.
The successful candidate will work within the team and the principle duties and responsibilities are:
- Providing OPD services in gastroenterology
- Providing diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower GI Endoscopy
- Participate in governance, quality improvement, audit and teaching
- Partake in GIM on call rota
The Trust was awarded Level 1 JAG accreditation again in 2018. The Trust is due accreditation again in 2024.
The Trust has also received a CQC rating as Outstanding.
The trust is looking to appoint a Trust Doctor ST3 + to join an expanding and progressive department in a busy and innovative DGH. The Gastroenterology Service at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare is based primarily at East Surrey Hospital, Redhill. We provide a full range of endoscopy services which are provided in two endoscopy suites one sited on the East Surrey site and one at Crawley Hospital totalling 6 rooms. The Trust provides a full range of gastroenterology services including clinics at other sites such as Horsham or Crawley hospitals which may form part of the job plan.
