Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced midwife with an interest in supporting the maternity team at SASH in the delivery of antenatal education programs and the development of patient information resources. They will be responsible for ensuring all of the information provided by the SASH maternity team is consistent, accessible, up to date and evidence based to facilitate informed choice and personalised care planning.
The post holder will work closely within the MDT to ensure that specialist midwives, anaesthetists, obstetricians and team leaders are facilitated to coordinate their work in this area and ensure its consistency and availability to families and staff. Information will be made available in a range of formats, face to face/ digital, large/small group scale, web based/ paper resources and on social media platforms. They will be focused on ensuring equity in healthcare provision by triangulating information delivery and ensuring that education opportunities are universally accessible as well as targeted for more vulnerable families who are for example non-English speaking, illiterate, and/or digitally excluded.
