Band A Dental Officer
Applications are invited for a full time Band A Dental Officer. This post is based in the Dental & Maxillofacial Department at East Surrey Hospital, Redhill, Surrey.
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated dentist to join a specialist team working in Paediatric & Special Care Dentistry in East Surrey. This specialist service provides dental treatment for children, adults and older people, who are referred because of physical, mental or emotional impairment and unable to access general dental care.
The post-holder will be responsible for the provision of a full range of dental care for both children and adults with specific needs. There will be opportunities to provide care under nitrous oxide sedation. Patient groups routinely treated will include adults with learning difficulties, medically compromising conditions and mental health problems, children who have been referred from GDP with behavioural or management difficulties. The post holder will provide domiciliary and outreach care.

Main duties of the job
East Surrey Hospital has the extensive and modern facilities expected in progressive district general hospitals, including MRI and CT scanners, intensive and coronary care units, and is the designated major accident centre for Gatwick Airport.
