Job summary
Due to reshape of Therapies team we have an opportunity in a newly created post for a enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic OT within our medical team. Our department is full of opportunity for an Occupational Therapist who is ready to expand their skills further and specialize in medical clinical practice. There are opportunities for specialist training within the clinical field, service development within the medical team and excellent opportunities to develop your leadership skills.
The Therapy department is committed to providing an environment of excellent professional growth and offers daily team huddles and regular departmental meetings; ensuring effective communication within the teams. We incorporate CPD time, regular performance reviews and service development projects. Supervision is highly regarded within the department as a method of ensuring all staff are supported in their professional development and career progression.
SASH is one of just 5 NHS trusts in the country working in Partnership with Healthcare experts at the Virginia Mason Institute in Seattle, USA. Within this partnership staff are supported and trained to develop a culture of continuous improvement based on lean principles. Staff have the opportunity to understand the Lean for Leaders development Programme which has led to significant improvement for both staff and patients.
