Surrey and Sussex Healthcare (SASH) NHS Trust has an exciting opportunity for a Physician Associate to join the team in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and driven Physician Associate (PA) to join our multidisciplinary team.
The role of the PA will be dynamic; the PA will assess, review and help to manage patients across the department but also be given the opportunity to attend specialist clinics, clerk patients in the GAU as well as spend time in theatre.
This post offers the unique opportunity to have a balanced job plan of clinical activities as well as education and training and will utilise the full scope of PA practice. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop knowledge and experience working alongside their Consultant supervisor. SASH has employed PAs for over 9 years and is recognised as a leading employer of PAs in the UK with a track record of developing PAs in areas such as Leadership, education, and practical skill development. The successful applicant will join a team of 23 established PAs across Medicine, Surgery, ED and Liaison Psychiatry and have access to weekly bespoke PA teaching mapped to the Core Curriculum Framework as well as a range of training activities delivered by the KSS School of PAs. Each new PA will be assigned an experienced PA mentor and also receive support from the Lead PA Daniel Woosey and Dr Natalie King, PA Tutor and Head of School.
