Job summary

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join the Speech and Language Therapy team at East Surrey Hospital. The service covers all inpatient paediatric wards including neonatal unit and children's ward, plus a small outpatient service.

The successful applicant will have experience working at an advanced level in the assessment, differential diagnosis and management of feeding and swallowing difficulties in neonates and children (working within/ towards the RCSLT neonatal/paediatric competencies Level C-D). You will be able to demonstrate highly developed skills in complex dysphagia, which may involve tracheostomy management and use of videofluoroscopy.

You will carry a complex clinical caseload as well as helping maintain and develop the paediatric inpatient and outpatient services.

We are committed to continuing professional development and evidence based practice, offering regular in-service training and both peer group and 1:1 support. Internal and external courses are supported.
