Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Lead Senior Chief Respiratory Physiologist to manage the Lung Function and Sleep and Ventilation department at Surrey and Sussex Hospital NHS Trust. This is an exciting time to join the Respiratory Physiology team as we are continually striving to improve the service and care we offer our patients. The trust has recently received an "Outstanding" rating by the CQC. Currently we operate at two sites East Surrey Hospital and Crawley Hospital.
As the Lead Senior Chief Physiologist you will be responsible for the day to day management and operation of the lung function, CPAP and BiPAP service. You will need to be a strong leader with mentorship experience to ensure the staff continue to be well led and our patients continue to receive high quality care.
You will be expected to mentor and support the physiology team to perform routine and more specialised lung function tests listed in the physiological testing list in the job description both in the department and on the wards for patients with an array of respiratory conditions. You will also be expected to be the clinical lead on the CPAP, home Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV) and Complex Sleep service.
