HR Officer- Medical Staffing

Job summary

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to join our Medical Workforce Team for an initial 6 months with a possibility to extend after the initial 6 months. This is a key role supporting the effective management of the 2016 Junior Doctor Contract and ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality medical workforce services across the Trust.

The post holder will work closely with the Resourcing Manager and the HR Adviser for Medical Staffing to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to junior doctor rota compliance, work schedules, and exceptional reporting. We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Can interpret complex information and communicate it clearly.
  • Is confident using electronic rostering systems (or willing to learn).

This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the Trust medical workforce, contributing to safe staffing, compliance, and the overall wellbeing of our junior doctors. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative team dedicated to delivering high-quality workforce services.

Main duties of the job

  • Support the Junior Doctor's HR Adviser for Medical Staffing in the production of work schedules for junior doctors. This will include checking the work schedule produce and email to junior doctors
  • Provide advice on the calculation of pay and pay protection entitlements to staff including junior doctors, internal Recruitment Team and HR Services.
  • Maintain the HR records on Trust rotas including their pay details.
  • Support the HR Advisor for Medical Staffing in rota design patterns and liaising with services using the rostering system.
  • Provide advice to trainees and interpret rota and pay information

  • Educated to A Level standard or CIPD Level 3 (or working towards) with demonstrable experience in an HR environment or significant experience in an HR environment.

Experience
