Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

General Manager CYPS CT Northeast Hampshire

The closing date is 10 February 2026

Job summary

This role provides day-to-day coordination and leadership of the CYPS Community Team (CCT) & Early Help Northeast Hampshire, working closely with fellow managers, clinical leads, and partners across the organisation to drive continuous service development. The post holder will ensure that all activity reflects the CYPS philosophy and aligns with current best-practice guidelines.

A key responsibility is to ensure the service operates safely, effectively, and efficiently within the wider emotional health and wellbeing system, following the principles of the iTHRIVE framework. The role also supports a culture where children, young people, and families are empowered to identify, plan, and meet their own needs.

Central to the role is maintaining a strong focus on the experience of children and young people, ensuring their voice informs all decision-making. The post holder will build positive, responsive relationships with colleagues across the Hampshire system, and will provide leadership on clinically complex and challenging cases where required.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide operational leadership and management for the team within the Getting Help and Getting more Help based groupings of the iTHRIVE framework.

  • As part of the CYPS Management Team, develop, review and maintain effective systems to ensure the service meets national, CQC, local and Trust standards, policies, guidelines and service plans in line with SABP's vision.

  • Contribute to strategic planning to support the development and sustainability of the team.

  • Support the transformation of the team and the wider iTHRIVE system, ensuring new contract requirements and additional funding are implemented effectively to deliver our SABP vision.

  • Ensure robust systems are in place for comprehensive assessment, formulation and treatment pathway planning.

  • Work across organisational boundaries to ensure children's emotional health and wellbeing in Northeast Hampshire is delivered through a coordinated, systemic, inter-agency approach.

  • Ensure inter-agency protocols operate effectively and align with agreed care pathways for children and young people accessing emotional health and wellbeing services.

  • Represent children and young people at multi-agency forums, steering groups and borough-wide working groups, ensuring their needs and experiences inform system-level decisions.
