Job summary

This post is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mental Heath Nurse with NMC, HCPC (OT)

Suitable for someone who has a very high level of clinical skills and experience, as wellas the ability to lead and motivate a staff team in the pursuit of the provision of excellent quality care for people using our services.

You will be part of a multi- disciplinary team providing the clinical leadership and clinical supervision of clinicians within the Home Treatment Team. To ensure the service operates in a safe, effective & efficient way as part of the whole system of Mental Health services.

In addition, to foster a culture that encourages and enables individuals to have an active role in identifying, planning and meeting their individual needs. Deputising for the Service Manager in their absence, undertaking management responsibilities as required.

The post holder must have a full and valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes due to the community element of this role.

Main duties of the job

• To adhere to the requirements of the relevant Professional Code of Conduct at all times (NMC or HCPC)o To oversee the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the clinicalcare needs of people using our services within a defined service areao To mentor, supervise and teach qualified and unqualified staff including studentswithin locality HTTo To participate in the recruitment, deployment and management of staff within yourservice areao To work in collaboration with other key stakeholders, CMHRS, psychiatric liaisonteams, community connections, early intervention in psychosis team, primary careteams, inpatient teams, bed management teams, social services approved mentalhealth practitionerso Provide clinical credibility across a variety of mental health crisis scenarios andsituationso Provide knowledge and aid understanding of the concepts of recovery and how toimplement these concepts in practical termso Understand relevant legislation i.e., CPA, Clinical & Social Governance, NSF, MHAand translate into practical application for otherso Provide advice and guidance of current evidence based practice within mental
