We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our Trust-wide Adult Eating Disorders Service (AEDS). we have lots of exciting devleopmnets ahead.

Position Details:

  • Location: Based within ourAdult Eating disorder service at Farnham Road Hospital, Guildford, and our HQ in Leatherhead

Career Development: We are committed to supporting your growth and development, we have a comprehensive MDT AEDS academic programme and inhouse occupational therapy CPD programme. We support AHP preceptorship, student placemnets and hold an Annual AHP conference.

Team Environment:You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to pioneering innovative approaches to meet the occupational needs of our service users, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Main duties of the job

To provide high quality and evidence based occupational therapy assessment and interventions, both group and individual, to people who access AEDS services and their carers/supporters/family members, in line with the occupational therapy pathways.

To communicate effectively with people who access services, carers, the multi-disciplinary team and when appropriate outside agencies. To contribute to the generic functioning of the team. Toprovide supervision and mentoring to more junior occupational therapists, occupational therapy apprenticeships, support workers and activities coordinators (as appropriate)

To provide occupational therapy student placements.

To contribute to service development and audits.
