Job summary
Larkfield is a beautiful 6 bedded registered care home with nursing services. CQC registered to provide accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care and treating disease, disorder, or injury. Our bedrooms are spacious and can easily be adapted to meet the need of the occupants. We have a sensory room for the individuals we support to meet their sensory needs. Staff are trained to a high standard to meet the dynamic nature of health and social care.
We are in the village of Charlwood, proud of our peaceful and idyllic setting. We are 30-minute walk of Horley Town centre, with Crawley town centre and Gatwick airport about 10-minute drive away.
We have a team comprising of nurses and health care assistants (Band 2 and Band 3) who provide 24hour care, supporting individuals with different needs such as autism, mental health and learning disability. All our activities are tailored to meet individual needs and interest.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of person-centred care and to be responsible for the supervision of junior staff and students. To take a greater leadership role in the home in the absence of the manager/ other senior staff.
As a Staff Nurse you will Act as Shift Leader, keyworker, and delegate responsibilities to colleagues in line with people's needs and preferences, ensuring the shift planner is updated accordingly.
