This post is for a full time Specialty Doctor in Older Adult Services. The post holder will be responsible for working with the Community Mental Health Team Older People (CMHTOP), based at Spelthorne.

There is dedicated half-a-day for special interest & additional half-a-day for academic meeting & CPD.
It would be desirable for the postholder to have at least three years' experience in general psychiatry at SHO level. The post holder will be assisted with S12 application.

It is expected that the Specialty Doctor would support any trainees attached to the team. All the work of the Specialty Doctor will be under the supervision of the consultant psychiatrist.
The main duties of the post holder for this role will be to carry out assessments and reviews of patients referred/open to the CMHTOP including care homes. You would be responsible to participate in weekly MDT meetings and contribute and/or lead on CPA/Family meetings.
You would also be expected to support the wider CMHTOP with joint reviews as needed. There would also be involvement in service development projects/reviews under the guidance of the consultant.

- Full medical registration with a license to practice
