Job summary
Mind Matters Surrey Talking Therapies NHS are looking to recruit full time Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners
The post will be a blend of in person and remote working. The post-holder will be required to work up to two days per week in Epsom or Leatherhead ) and remotely the remainder of the week. There are opportunities to work with people in face to face clinics and across teams and telephone.
Successful applicants with sufficient post qualifying experience will be given the opportunity for further development in Long Term Conditions Training, Supervision Training and a variety of Champion and lead roles across the Step 2 Team. Newly qualified candidates can join our new preceptorship programme where we support and develop our newly qualified staff, gently easing them into their qualified roles.
All PWPs provide assessments and deliver high volume, low intensity cognitive behavioural therapy guided self-help interventions to clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression. In addition, all PWPs are trained to offer silver cloud assisted therapy treatment sessions and deliver a specialist group each week.

Main duties of the job
As a PWP, your main duties will be to conduct assessments with people experiencing a range of mental health difficulties, identifying areas for change, and identifying what the most appropriate treatment pathways would be.
This might include making referrals to other services, or offering treatments within Mind Matters.
You will also be providing low intensity CBT interventions to individuals experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, promoting self-management of their own recovery.

There are opportunities for individual professional development, including; monthly clinical skills, weekly supervision and specialist and supervision training. All Mind Matters Surrey staff attend a quarterly CPD and Team meeting which can count towards professional CPD.
Mind Matters Surrey Talking Therapies services provides Talking Therapies treatments between 8.30am - 8.00pm Monday to Wednesday and office hours, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. There is a requirement to work a minimum of 2 late nights or one late night and a Saturday.
